[NSFW] There was an error processing your order.
-
Hi,
I´m receiving an error that reads “There was an error processing your order. Please check for any charges in your payment method and review your order history before placing the order again.” I have deleted all plugins (except woo commerce) and changed to a standard theme but I get always the same error message.
WordPress to 6.8.2WooCommerce to 10.0.3
CCBill Payment Gateway 2.1.0
Yes, I found other threads but none of the advice helped me.
Thanks!

Hi @clickclack,
Thanks for reaching out, and I understand how frustrating it must be to run into that error at checkout, especially after already testing with just WooCommerce active and a default theme. I really appreciate the steps you’ve taken so far to troubleshoot.
To help us get a better idea of what’s going on, could you let us know when you first started noticing this issue? Was it right after a recent update to WooCommerce, your theme, or the CCBill Payment Gateway?
Also, does this error occur only when the CCBill payment method is selected, or does it happen even if you try a built-in option like Bank Transfer?
Lastly, please share your System Status Report by going to WooCommerce → Status → Get system report → Copy for support, then paste it at https://pastebin.com and drop the link here. This will help us investigate further.
Looking forward to your reply so we can get this sorted out for you!
Hello,
thanks for your fast response. The problem always occurs, regardless of the payment method chosen. I think the issue has been going on for 3-4 weeks, but I only discovered it myself a few days ago.
Hi @clickclack,
Thanks for sharing those details and the System Status Report. I’ve gone ahead and tested your checkout flow, and I can confirm the issue: no matter which payment method is selected, the same error appears when trying to place an order.
Looking over your report, nothing major stands out, but I did notice that your WooCommerce Database Version is listed as 9.9.5, while your WooCommerce plugin is on 10.0.3. I recommend updating your WooCommerce database by heading to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and clicking Update database. After that’s done, try running a test order again to see if it resolves the issue.
While inspecting your site, I also saw a console error pointing to a failed POST request at the checkout endpoint: jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.1:2 POST https://www.nude-in-public.store/?wc-ajax=checkout 500 (Internal Server Error)
This means the server is running into an internal error when WooCommerce tries to process the checkout request.
If updating the database doesn’t fix things, I recommend running a quick conflict test:
- Temporarily switch to the Storefront theme.
- Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce.
- Try checking out again.
If the error disappears, then you can reactivate your plugins one at a time while testing after each one. This will help pinpoint if a particular plugin is conflicting.
Let us know how it goes, we’ll be here to help with the next steps if needed!
Hi,
if I try to change the theme and try to deactivate all plugins I get an critical error

Ooops! @clickclack, it looks like there may be deeper issues on your site. To help us troubleshoot more effectively, please create a clone of your live site on a subdomain or directory using WP Migrate Guru or a similar tool.
Once cloned, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and your payment gateway plugin. Switch the theme to Storefront and enable test mode for the payment plugin.
After that, share the link to the staging site so we can run tests on our end. Also, check WooCommerce > Status > Logs for any fatal errors and share them via gist.github.com.
Disabling these functions helps to solve the problem: Block editor of emails (alpha version), Mailing list improvements
Hi @clickclack,
Thanks to @dmitrydzh for jumping in with a helpful tip — it’s appreciated!
If you’re still encountering the “There was an error processing your order” message, and especially if other usual steps haven’t helped, one thing worth trying is disabling the Email Block Editor (alpha version).
As @dmitrydzh confirmed, turning off those experimental features resolved a similar issue for them. It’s possible there’s a conflict with the updated WooCommerce version or your current PHP configuration.
Please let us know if disabling those features changes anything on your end, and feel free to keep us updated if you discover anything else useful along the way.
Hi,
I’ve tested all the plugins step by step, and for me, it was the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and WPML String Translation plugins. After deactivating both, everything worked again.
Thanks for the great support!
Hi there!
It’s great to hear that you were able to pinpoint the conflicting plugins. Since the issue is related to the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and WPML String Translation plugins, I’d recommend reaching out to the WPML support team for further assistance. They may be able to help resolve the conflict or suggest a configuration adjustment.
If you have a moment, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share your positive experience with others by leaving a 5-star review on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post
It seems we haven’t heard back from you for a while, so I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to reach out whenever you’re ready to continue.
