Jetpack Search have incorrect URLs for existing posts – how to force reindex
-
Hi there,
I’m experiencing an issue with Jetpack Search: some of my published posts appear in the search results with incorrect URLs.Here are the details:
- The post exists and is published
- It is publicly accessible
- The correct permalink is shown in the editor
- I can visit the post on the front end using the correct URL
- However, in Jetpack Search, it shows an outdated or incorrect URL
What I’ve already tried:
- Clearing the site cache
- Clearing Jetpack’s performance/cache (from Performance > Clear all caches)
- Regenerating permalinks
- Checking that there are no redirects or duplicate drafts
Despite these steps, the incorrect URLs still appear in Jetpack Search results.
I’ve seen that other users reported similar issues on the forum.
So I would like to ask:Is there a way to force Jetpack to reindex the content and update the URLs in the search index?
Or is there any other way to fix the URLs shown in the search? The post (main link) is written in Cyrillic, but that shouldn’t matter.
You can open the post using the direct URL I provided above, and then try searching for its title in Jetpack Search to see what happens. The result that appears shows an incorrect URL, even though the original post is accessible and correctly published.I’m also experiencing the exact same issue on another website that I help manage.
