help needed! wp adds quotes

    hi there, need help urgently:

    each time wordpress reads out something that has quotes, it generates them additionally in ascii code. please see an example of the problem here.
    i just added an image tag with simple quotes in the edit field. from the database it comes back as you can see in the source of the link or here:

    <div class="storycontent">
    testtext<br><br>
    <img src="%22http://www.eyetag.de/weblog/wp-content/themes/zen-min_modified/logo.jpg%22" alt="&quot;eyetag" logo&quot="">" alt="test" />

    </div><!-- end STORYCONTENT -->

    please! help me out of this!

    Are you copying and pasting from Word or any other text editor ?
    Those programs will cause errors just like that.

    no, i wrote either straight to the edit field or edit it inside ftp client.
    this one was coming straight from wp-admin
