Hi everyone, I am trying to “authenticate your sender domain” but for some reason it’s not seeing the updated records I put into Cloudflare. I’ve used Cloudflare for over 10 years now but there must be something that I am missing.

This might be more of a Cloudflare issue but somebody who’s done this before might have some insights?

Here’s a screenshot of the record I put in:

But when I do a NS lookup, it’s not finding the CNAME record for mailpoet1._domainkey.macnerd.xyz

    Thanks in advance!

Hi @neochrome, for the name, try putting only the part before your domain, because Cloudflare very likely automatically appends the domain. So for the mailpoet1._domainkey.macnerd.xyz record, you should only put mailpoet1._domainkey in the Name input.

Please, let me know if that helped.

Hi Jan, thanks so much for your help! In the end, it ended up being 100% (dummy) user error. I forgot I had registered the plural ending with a “s” and was editing that record and losing my mind why none of my changes were being resolved. 🤣

    Sorry for wasting your time.

So far I like Mailpoet and it helped me get everything up and going in <15 minutes. My only suggestion would be to add a FAQ on how to add a subscription as a conversion goal in Google Ads and Google Analytics.
