• Hey

So I’m running WordPress 3.0.4 with multisite enabled. I modified php5.ini to increase php memory limit in order WordPress to handle multiple sites. Installation is running on Godaddy’s shared hosting. I’ve tried different values for php memory limit and (according to WP Overview plugin and few other similar plugins) there’s no limit. I even tred 2048 megs and it worked! Is the server actually allocating 2048 megs for me, or are those plugins just reading what php5.ini says?

GoDaddy shared hosting has not been historically kind to multisite.

You will need to ask them about the php.ini settings, but I’m pretty sure you can’t change ’em on shared.
