    I’ve recently noticed that when I embed an Instagram reel into a blog post, the reel itself will appear, but when I tap the “play” icon it freezes at the first frame and won’t play the video. It works fine on desktop, but the problem seems to be on mobile devices. I’ve noticed the problem on my phone (iPhone) using both Google Chrome and Safari, and the problem happens on an iPad as well. Not sure if the same issue occurs on Android devices. Any help?     Hi @geekyhooker,

    Could you please try reconnecting the oEmbed API on your website then check if that fixes the issue. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > oEmbeds > click “Disable” next to Instagram.
    2. Refresh the page and click “Enable
    3. Follow the connection wizard that will take you to your Instagram/Facebook account to authenticate the connection
    4. Once you’re done, you’ll be redirected back to your website.

    After that, your video post embeds should play on all devices.

    Hi Nigel! Unfortunately that didn’t work. I actually tried doing that last night as well, which led me to turn to the forum, haha. For what it’s worth it seems to work fine on Android devices and both Mac and PC desktops, it seems to only happen with iPhones and iPads? Not sure what’s going on here.

    Hey @geekyhooker,

    Just a quick update, I’ve tested the issue on several devices and found that it seems to be related to iOS browser settings. To address this, please try disabling “Prevent cross-site tracking” in Safari. You can do this by navigating to Safari > Preferences > Privacy.

    Let me know if this resolves the issue. Looking forward to hearing how it goes!

    Hey Nigel! Tried it, still didn’t work. 🙁 Checked it out on both Safari and Chrome, still freezing at the first frame!
