I had a perfectly fine working Contact Us page but in the new test environment at Hostinger it fails.

There are complaints of the IP not being authorized at SendGrid but that should not be the case. And I even created a new Key and set that value in place.

Within the same website I do have a custom page I wrote myself that does properly send via SendGrid and the original key.

I’ve confirmed the IP address and it is set as allowed in sendgrid.

What could be the issue or needed change?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @burndog,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Just a heads up – SendGrid requires Domain Authentication to send emails through their SMTP API, as explained in their guide here.

Since you’re using a subdomain of “hostingersite.com“, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to add the DNS records that SendGrid needs to complete the Domain Authentication process.

This means you might have issues to use SendGrid on the test environment at Hostinger.

To get a better picture of what’s happening, you might want to try an Email Log plugin like WP Mail Logging.

I recommend reaching out to SendGrid’s support team about this situation. They’ll be able to tell you if there’s any workaround available for your specific case.

Alternatively, you could try an SMTP service that doesn’t require Domain Authentication. For example, Postmark uses “Sender Signatures” (documentation) where you need to verify your email address instead of the site domain.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @burndog,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
