    Hello!

    Congratulations on your incredible work.

I have recently installed FluentCommunity and I am running some tests. I´m having a lot of issues with the sessions and the cookies. (session expired: actualize, but I can´t, cookie fail) Maybe I have more than one user for testing and there is the problem.

WP Manage Ninja support told me that it conflicts with WP-Optimize.

Do you think there’s anything I could modify to solve the problem?

Thank you very much in advance and best regards,

    Alejandro

    Hi @alejandrotrefois!
Sorry about the conflict you’ve encountered.

Please provide more information about the conflict you are referring to. What error message are you seeing? What steps do we need to take to replicate the issue?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Damilare,

Thank you so much for your response

The message appears in multiple ocasions but when is sure to have this issue is when you try to change the user in FluentCommunity. If I close the session to open a new one, I have this message in the middle of the screen: “Session expired. Your session has expired due to inactivity. Please refresh the page to continue.” and a second one in the bottom “Error. Cookie check failed”.

But whether I try refreshing the page in the browser or click the “refresh” button in the message, the error persists and I can’t continue. Sometimes, by closing the portal and accessing it again from the plugin via “manage courses,” I can use the FluentCommunity portal again, but only with the administrator account.

I hope this explanation helps—I’m sorry, I don’t know how to provide more details.

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Alejandro

Do you notice any change when cache and/or minify is disabled? Please check and let us know.

    Hi Damilare,

    Yes, I´m trying now.

I disabled cache in WP-Optimize and I can change the user in FluentCommunity Portal without problem, I enabled it again and the issue returns.

In that case, try excluding your FluentCommunity pages from caching at WPO > Cache > Advanced settings > URLs to exclude from caching.

Let us know if that works.

    Hi Damilare,

I wrote: It works!!! Thank you so much!!!

Unfortunately, I had the “Enable page cache” option in WPO > Cache, disabled, which is why it was working.

After making changes in “advanced settings” (I excluded the URLs /portal/* from the cache), I re-enabled the “Enable page cache” option and the error has reappeared.

    I’m really sorry.

    Hi!
There’s really nothing to be sorry for, we’re here to help.
I’m aware you had cache turned off. Sorry, I didn’t mention it, but you were expected to enable page cache after excluding the target path.

Now that the issue has returned, it implies that those community pages are still being affected by caching somehow. To confirm, view the page source and check if there’s a WPO comment at the bottom that signifies caching status.

Previously, you mentioned that you were having issues related to sessions and cookies. Please identify some of the cookies you were referring to and add them to the Cookies which, if present, will prevent caching section at WPO > Cache > Advanced settings. Run the preloader afterward and check if that changes anything.

    Regards.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I am running some tests to see what appears in the source code. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure where to look. I haven’t seen any code that references WP-Optimize. The only thing that caught my attention is that, when the cache is enabled, the following appears in the “Console” section:

“Already scheduled or no user id
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () wp-json/fluent-community/v2/activities?page=1&per_page=5&with_pins=1&is_trending=1&with_pending_count=0&query_timestamp=1749550519602:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () wp-json/fluent-community/v2/feeds?page=1&per_page=10&space=&order_by_type=latest&search=&search_in%5B0%5D=post_content&query_timestamp=1749550519584:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 () wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?ajax_nonce=5684e13895&query_timestamp=1749550520669&action=fluent_community_renew_nonce:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 () wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?ajax_nonce=5684e13895&query_timestamp=1749550520666&action=fluent_community_renew_nonce:1″

This doesn’t appear if the option is disabled.

Unfortunately, in these latest tests, I’ve had to deactivate the plugin completely, as simply disabling the cache option wasn’t enough to be able to log in.

As for the cookies, I can’t say which one exactly, I only get a message saying “Error, cookie check failed”.

    I hope this helps.

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Hi @alejandrotrefois!
The Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 error means that you are not permitted to access the requested path on your site. Resetting your file/folder permissions could help with fixing that.

As regards the inability to switch users, I’ll reach out to our development team for their insight on this issue.

    Kind regards,
    Damilare.
