removing text decoration

on my wordpress blog all of my hyperlinks are underlined. I want to remove this.

I have been in to the style.css editor and searched for text-decoration:but all of the examples :none
if i search for underline i come up with no results.

but still my hyperlinks are underlined.

please can someone help me with the removal of this text decoration
