• When using the menu builder I notice it’s not showing child pages. If I don’t use the menu builder, and the default menu is used, the pages show child pages just fine. Is there a trick to getting that to work with the menu builder?

    The site is: http://www.rrliving.com

As of this post, the menu item “Dining 411” should have two child pages.

    Thanks for any help!

Nevermind. It’s not exactly what I was hoping for (to have new categories automatically added to the drop down menu (would be a nice option in the future)) but I realized that, in the menu builder, if you drag a page/post/category slightly to the right of the intended parent, it becomes a sub-menu.

This is REALLY un-intuitive. I spent hours trying to figure out how to create sub-menus in the Twenty Ten theme.

It’s especially unhelpful that the available pages to add, in the Pages list, don’t appear to be in any kind of useful order, nor to show the hierarchy of parent-child relations.

To make it easier to build these menus, you could try the Gecka plugin to generate sub-menus automatically from a page’s parent-child relationship.
