    I am using your theme Extendable. Thank you very much for it. It is exactly what we need – a simple theme without too much clutter, but with some pre-built styles and templates – to use as a base for a custom site.

    My question. On the theme edit screen it says “Auto Updates Enabled”. However; we are using a child theme (for certain customisations). Will your theme still update, even if it is not the active theme?

    Hey,

    Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad to hear that you’re finding the Extendable theme a good fit for your project.

    To answer your question: Yes, the Extendable theme will still receive updates even if it’s not the active theme, as long as it’s installed on your site and auto-updates are enabled. WordPress handles theme updates independently of which theme is currently active.
