The footer switch back link stopped appearing on most pages of our website when switched into a user. It used to always appear but after some recent updates (not sure how recent) it stopped appearing. However, it does still appear on a few pages, specifically woocommerce account pages.

Our website primarily uses WP Bakery plugin as a page builder for most of the pages on our site. I am wondering if there is some issue between WP Bakery and User Switching, preventing the footer switch back link to be inserted.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Thanks for the report.

This is usually caused by some sort of caching, either on the server or in your browser or both. The only logic in User Switching for the switch back link in the footer is that it won’t show up if either the WordPress admin toolbar or the “Meta” widget are present on the page.

The other possibility is that the link is there but is visually hidden, for example something in the footer is layered over the top of it.
