We use this great plugin on both sites:
https://newroots.ch/en/find-us/ (option: auto locate active / load locations on page load active)
https://yellowsunshine.ch/find-us (option: auto locate NOT active / load locations on page load active)

Can the time until the standard list loads without geolocation being performed be influenced (or set to “0”? I assume the “load locations on page load” option should do this (until the user grants permission for geolocation), but it doesn’t.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there, thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a setting for that. If “auto locate” is active, the browser will trigger a location prompt and wait for user input — there’s no way to bypass this behavior.

The “Load locations on page load” option is designed to trigger a search using the predefined parameters (distance, max number of results, etc.) based on the search term the plugin receives. If “auto locate” is enabled, the plugin must wait for the browser to provide a location. If it’s disabled, the plugin uses the predefined starting point from the settings to run the search.

I hope this clarifies how it works, but feel free to get back to me with any thoughts or questions.

    Best regards,
