Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress. This plugin only compatible to 6.6.2. Is it going to be updated to V6.8? As Automattic is the developer as well as for WordPress I would have thought updating would have been “Automatic”.

    Hi @adrian33000

Sorry about the silence, the team has been focusing on other products in our care lately. But we do still have things on the roadmap for WP Job Manager we want to take care of. For now, we don’t have a timeline on when the plugin will be tested with the current version of WordPress.

Please let us know if you bump into any issues.

Thank you for the reply which actually tells me – Nothing!

I have a client with this plugin who is asking me if it is safe to use, as his security plugin is warning him it is not compatible with the latest WordPress core. I don’t know what to tell him. I have looked at other plugins offering similar facilities to Job Manager, only to find that almost without exception, all are no longer compatible with WP6.8. So now my client is asking if WordPress is the best option for his website, if, as it seems, plugin developers cannot provide workable plugins or ones that may not be open to risks.

I had hoped I could reassure him that the plugin developers, who are also integrated with WordPress, being Automattic, would not be promoting or offering a plugin with a security risk attached, and that an update would be forthcoming, but it seems that is not the case here.

    Hi @adrian33000

We understand your concern. You’re right that the plugin currently shows a warning about being untested with WordPress 6.8. This message appears automatically when a plugin hasn’t been explicitly tested with the latest version of WordPress, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the plugin is unsafe or incompatible — just that it hasn’t been officially marked as tested yet.

We’ll get the plugin officially tested as soon as we are able to. While we can’t currently provide a timeline for that, we haven’t had any specific reports of issues with WordPress 6.8, and many users continue to use the plugin without problems.
