I need to redo the design for the wordpress which i using Download Manager as the main plugin. There are around 350 packages, each having a different author.

Please suggest how can it be done so that after import the respective package remains linked to its author.

You can use our bulk import feature , please kindly check the article, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/bulk-import/, please use our sample csv file from here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/sample.csv, you can also edit CSV file. Please kindly check and let me know.

I read the docs. But from where to get the plugin. I am using the free version

You can use the Pro version for bulk import. Please kindly check.

any option for the free version. The client will not pay for the pro version

i had the old version of the plugin. I installed it and tried on another installation. The packages got exported but did not link to respective authors

You can’t directly import the exported CSV file, please kindly check the https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/sample.csv file, you can also edit the CSV file. Please kindly check.
