After doing the update our site experienced the “white screen” on the front-end. Error message:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Advanced_Ads_Slider::output_ad_ids(): Argument #5 ($group) must be of type Advanced_Ads_Group, AdvancedAds\Groups\Group_Standard given, called in /wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 324 and defined in /www/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads-slider/public/public.php:70″

We disabled the slider plugin and site was visible again, but now my embedded ads are no appearing and the other placement are no longer looping – just displaying a static ad. We’ll have some unhappy advertisers today and hoping to get this resolved quickly.

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

There is a new version of the slider add-on v.2.0.1 out there addressing this issue.

If you’re a customer, you can download the add-on from your account. If not you need to register a new email address with our newsletter, and you’ll find the download link in the confirmation email. (You can also remove the old email and register it again)

    Best regards,
    Henning

Thank you Henning. When was v.2.0.1 rolled out – I updated the plugin just 12 hours ago so want to ensure it isn’t going to repeat.

Slider v.2.0.1 was rolled out March 18, so it’s the latest version. Is this the one you got the error from?
