There were previously problems with PHP 8.x, how does Elementor relate to this PHP version today?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Here you have documentation about our PHP versions compatibility.

This article outlines Elementor’s plans to enhance compatibility with newer PHP versions.

I found this, but it doesn’t answer my question. The question is, have the developers tested the free (and of course the pro) version of Elementor with PHP 8.1, PHP 8.2 and PHP 8.3 and found everything to be fine? So, can I install these PHP versions on a live website without any worries, here and now, in March 2025?

Yes, that’s why I asked here. It would be important for plugin developers to clearly communicate which is the highest PHP version on which their creation can be safely used. Of course, there can always be individual errors, anomalies that have not yet been recognized, but developers should still communicate on which PHP version they can guarantee that the plugin works without errors.

The question applies to both the free and pro versions! And normally both should have the same highest PHP version.

It looks like the issue has been resolved on your end. Please make sure your Elementor plugin is updated to the latest version to prevent any similar issues moving forward.

As we haven’t heard back from you in a while, we’ll go ahead and close this thread for now.

No. There is still no clear answer to the question asked. 😅 Another thing is that I am currently testing the functionality under PHP 8.x
