Tags issue on recurring events

We discovered that if you create an event and set it up as a Recurring Event – and THEN attempt to change the tags on an individual event – things get a little wonky. The tags no longer appear on the events (although they are still there, there is no easy way to tell what tags are tied to the event). If you find yourself in this situation, the best remedy is to delete the series (the “Series” menu under the “Events” menu) and delete any of the events in that view. You’ll be asked if you want to delete that single event only, that event and all future events, or ALL events past and future. Choose the “all” option and all of the events, along with the series, should be deleted. And then just start fresh with a new event and series.

Is there any way to resolve this so that the tags continue to appear on the event without having to delete everything and start over?
