moderated comments – oh no!

i’ve been unattentive and figured one of my wordpress blogs had escaped the evil spammers, but I just saw that I have almost 500 comments awaiting moderation and I do not know how to mass edit them. I found the following post in these forums:

“change the default action in /wordpress/wp-admin/moderation.php from “Do nothing” to “Delete” so all I had to do was load the page and hit the submit button at the bottom and they went away. “

however, i am php ignorant and i went to that file and i have no idea where in the file to change this — can someone please tell me what the line to change looks like? thanks!

and yes I am off to find one of those anti spam plugins right now!
