ver. 1.5 rss errors

I keep receiving the following error on my wp-rss2.php file (http://www.rirealestateblog.com/wp-rss2.php). With the original file downloaded from wordpress, I receive this error:

XML Parsing Error: unclosed token
Location: http://www.rirealestateblog.com/wp-rss2.php
Line Number 2, Column 1:
^

I searched the forum and came across the thread below.

and tried the suggestion of eliminating any whitespace. After taking out whitespace, I get this error:

XML Parsing Error: unclosed token
Location: http://www.rirealestateblog.com/wp-rss2.php
