Using Neve theme. Every image in the gallery editing view is stretched to a square shape, despite that the images may not be square. Please display thumbnails in the original image ratio — not cropped to a square, and not stretched to a square.

    Hi @tylertork

The section in your screenshot doesn’t display the actual thumbnail that will be shown in your galleries once added to a page or post.

To see how the gallery thumbnail will appear, click on the “Gallery Preview” tab (https://prnt.sc/BLtMua3dx9nv)—this will show the thumbnails that will be used. However, for the most accurate representation, I recommend previewing the gallery directly on a page or post.

    Thanks.

Yes, I’m aware the editing view is not the same as the way the gallery displays the images on the site. The gallery works okay. But isn’t the editing interface also important? Why shouldn’t it display images at the correct ratio? And how hard can that possibly be to accomplish? It’s just a little CSS, right?
