    Hello,

We’re trying the free plugin and it would be enough for my needs, but I cannot translate it with WPML.

The Pro version is fully WPML compatible? So my “Add a gift wrap to your order” option will be translated to other languages?

I tried to scan the plugin, but I see it translates the labels, not the values.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @web4people ,

Thanks for your message. There is no difference between pro and free version. If something is not working we should fix it definitely. We have a languages section in the settings area, did you see it? Could you please confirm if it didn’t help?

Also could you please share the steps to replicate so we can check locally and create a bug in backlog if it is needed. Because currently I couldn’t understand what do you mean by “values” exactly.

    Thanks!

Well, I noticed that in the translation tab of the free plugin I see only 1 field, but there are hidden fields with other translations. I can remove the display:none and it saves all the strings.

But then I have the same translation for both languages (italian and english). (when I talk about values, I mean that if I put “Aggiungi pacchetto regalo” in italian, I see the same in english, and not a “Add a gift wrap” text.)

I solved using JS and checking my string (I’m using the checkbox label) when I’m in the /en/ language.

Using WPML and searching the strings inside the plugin doesn’t work.

The plugin works well, it does what I need. Of course, if the Pro has a better integration with WPML we can considering to buy it. But If I’m not missing something, using just the checkbox option is enough.

    Thanks

    Hi @web4people ,

Thanks for your detailed message. Yes our plugin is mostly working with Language settings and but I see your point you have 2 different language in your store and it is not multisite so there is one options table for it and it cause to the issue.

In our pro plugin we have product wrapping options in general. But we don’t have something specific for WPML in pro version. So I don’t want to promise something and disappoint you about it.

We will add this to our backlog and we will check how we can integrate WPML compability while we are still supporting “language” section options for backward compability. Unfortunately, we can’t provide an estimate for you. But if you need a solution we can edit the plugin code on your website and provide a fix specifically for you. Just to support your business. In case if you think it would work for you, it would be great if you can send a ticket from https://www.giftwrapper.app/contact-support/ so we can move forward.

Thanks for your understanding and detailed report!

    Thanks!

I think my JS code is enough for now, so I’m okay.

Thanks for thinking about an implementation with WPML, it would be great add!
