I noticed that some users and bots are getting blocked under live traffic. Do you think it’s a good idea to manually block each one? I’ve been doing that, but it’s time-consuming.

Hi @mcnealwebservices, thanks for your question.

The Live Traffic blocks are indications that Wordfence is dealing appropriately with those IPs in real-time when they break rules in your plugin settings, the firewall, or are from a known bad source. It can be slightly alarming to see how many are hitting your site at times but that’s a perfect reason to have a security plugin installed.

We generally believe a manual blocking regime is unnecessary, with the exception of rare cases where one IP is repeatedly affecting site speed or resources for legitimate visitors. If your (and your visitors’) experience on the site isn’t being affected, managing permanent blocks shouldn’t be necessary and you can leave Wordfence to continue dealing with them.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
