Podcast is redirecting

    Hi, really hoping someone can help. A couple of years ago, I had a podcast I am thinking of resurrecting. But, there seems to be something odd going on with the feed.

    While it was dormant, I had to move hosts for one of my websites. None of the podcast can play on Apple podcast now, and when I visit the feed – https://drivinghorizons.com/feed/podcast/driving-horizons-campervan-travel/ and click on Play in New window, it seems to be diverting to a different URL, where the podcast isn’t saved, and I am not sure what I have done.

    Hi @richchubb

    Do you happen to have Seriously Simple Stats active?

    The issue is actually a conflict between the SSP media file passthrough URLs (that SS Stats needs to use to track listens) and the Bluehost plugin that I believe you also have installed. If you have the latest version of SSP installed and deactivate SS Stats, then SSP will use the raw episode file URLs and not the passthrough URLs. In lieu of SS Stats you can use a third-party podcast analytics like Podtrac or OP3.dev. Just add the media prefix to Podcasting –> Settings –> Feed Details –> Media File Prefix.
