• Hello,

I am a newbie to WordPress and have just installed a new theme here:
    http://winyourway.ca/NewWebsite/.

In the top menu, I have a button called “Blog”. I created a new page for this. The problem I am having is that when you visit that page, no one can post there. I have set up the blog page to allow for pings and comments. What have I done wrong?

Also, on the home page, I don’t want the posts to appear there, but only on the blog page. I can’t figure this one out as well.

Thanks for any help I get.

  • Set the page you want as the home page as the static page in the reading settings under general setting in the admin.

As for the blog page, either create a custom page template for it with a custom query. Or add a menu link to the navigation that just redirects people to the default category for your site and make sure all your posts are listed under the category.

This is weird… but there is page …
    http://winyourway.ca/NewWebsite/?page_id=1
thas is set up as a blog, but not available in the dropdown list on the reading page of the admin panel.

The home page is not as well I can access this page only by
    http://winyourway.ca/NewWebsite/index.php

    How do I fix this?
