• I just installed GeneralStats from the Plugin selections to be used as a website counter. It ‘sounds’ really impressive from its description…it is shown as being “Active” on my plugin list…on the its “Settings” I chose the option to have it as a visible Dashboard widget, etc.

Problem is: I can’t find it anywhere!!!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks. Fred

  • Hi Fred,

As it seems that you have successfully installed GeneralStats and activated the option Enable Dashboard Widget in the section Dashboard of the Settings Menu (did you click on Save Changes?), you probably have to tick GeneralStats in the dashboard. Have a look at this post for a screenshot.

Hey Berny…..and thanks for the info. I deactivated it and will have to go back and try again using your advice. Will let you know. Take care.

Hi Berny…..well, I tried again but it still did not work. It was a good thing because I kept looking and tried quite a few more and just a short while ago I found StatSurfer. This is one awesome program! It shows the title of the page viewed, lists the order of popularity and just so much more.

If you are interested in a free, professional stat counter this is your program. It is toward the bottom on Page 2 of the list of available plugins. Be sure to fill in the “Options” page to get it running.

    Take care. Fred
