    While dealing with LSCache image optimization problems, I tried pushing the “Destroy all optimization data” button, and disabled all the image optimization options. The documentation said that the button would give me a “clean slate”, but looking at the directories, there’s still lots of *.bk.jpg and *.webp files.

    So now I am wondering:

    • what exactly did this button do
    • I can just delete those *.bk.jpg and *.webp files, or should I rename the *.bk.jpg to remove the bk part, or what?

    Any news about this? To me it looks like either a plugin bug, or a documentation bug… and would be nice to know how to fix it.

    tested on a stage site(copy of a live site) and when I clicked “Destroy All Optimization Data” the bk and webp images were deleted.

    We can look further into the issue, but please create a report and share me the number.
    Report can be created from: LSC => Toolbox => Report => and click on “Send to Litespeed”

    *.bk.jpg is created because you selected: Optimize Original Images. Before renaming please check if there is the original file on server AND make sure is not optimized( when Remove Original Backups is ON)

    In case it helps, I also sent a report before pressing the “Destroy All Optimization Data” button: Report number: WNAAVEXS (this happened in this thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cron-says-you-have-images-to-be-pulled-please-wait/ )

    @hmijail Thank you for reports
    I see you have 2-3 plugins that are media related to images name/paths. I would try disabling the plugins. Do 1-2 optimizations pushes and then destroy the optimization.

    Keep me up to date with your findings.
