I have created a registration page for my website and I included an image upload field where the registrant can upload a profile picture, I named the meta “avatar”. However, when the registrant creates an account and uploads the profile pic, the pic does not get updated in the WordPress user profile, instead it just shows the default avatar “Mystery man”.

I found these instructions in the internet; however, I do not see the field for the profile picture in the form creation..

You can also enable profile photo upload in the registration form:

    1. Go to wp-admin > Ultimate Member > Forms > Edit Registration Form
    2. Click the + button to add a new field
    3. Select Profile Photo from the predefined fields
    4. Click Update to save changes

I had created a topic on this before but for some reason it was marked and completed, and I never really received an answer as to hot to fix this issue. The only way that I have been able to get the author profile pic to update in the WordPress profile is to click on “View profile” of the user, then edit, and then upload the user profile pic. I would really appreciate your help, I must be doing something wrong, but I just can’t figure out what. Thank you.
