Hi Andrew,
Do you know if the client is using the free plugin version or the paid Premium version?
I’m asking as we can only offer free plugin version support here due to WordPress rules.
In addition, if they’re using the paid version they can contact paid support for our help.
We’re able to investigate in much more detail, and it could save a lot of their time too.
The reason I mention this is the problem seems to be comprised of more than one part.
The backups being taken daily instead of weekly implies an issue with their scheduling.
To confirm the schedules you can use WP Crontrol to check events, search on ‘updraft’.
If the Cron events are set daily this will need adjustment, if not the issue lays elsewhere.
When you mention backups are being kept is this on remote storage / local or both?
If you can provide a backup log file using PasteBin (for example) it may be very useful.
The file describes the backup process and will enable me to see any errors occurring.
It will also provide helpful information on the server environment and other settings.
Best regards,
Nick
Thank you for the reply.
I installed WP Crontrol and it was set to daily, so I’ve changed that to weekly and will check in again in a few days to ensure that all is running smoothly.
Thanks again.
