Moving published pages from wordpress folder to root

I guess I made a mistake when I installed wordpress. My published website is showing up under http://www.mydomainename.com/wordpress/, I want it to be http://www.mydomainename.com/

Google has found it at /wordpress/.

How do I do get the info published to the root at http://www.mydomainename.com?

How do I get rid of the published stuff at /wordpress/?
