• Hi,

I connected the plugin W3 total cache to Redis and the ipaddress:port number and password and also used it with php 8.0 which runs well with 8.1 there was an error message. Only now I can’t figure out how to enable Object cache. It gives a message that prevents me from switching on. error message: “Object cache has been disabled via filter.”
Can you help me where I can enable it?

    Greetings,
    Marcel

    Hello @bbqfriends

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
The notification “Object cache has been disabled via a filter.” is triggered once the W3 Total Cache detests that the other plugin – Redis Object Cache is installed and active.
Since Redis Object Cache is caching Objects, the Object Caching feature in the W3 Total Cache also caches objects, and they are creating the drop-in needed for object caching which has the same name – object-cache.php, this filter was created to prevent the conflict.

This being said, if you are using Redis Object Cache, you should not be using Object Cache feature in the W3 Total Cache, and if you choose to use the one in the W3TC, you should remove the other solution

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
