    Hi

i recently had several failed transactions using the Advanced Card Processing. All these transactions were bots/fraudulent attempts..

i implanted reCaptcha (tried both V2 and V3) but the transactions continued to arrive and fail.

the only way I could stop the transactions was to disable the Advanced Card Processing payment gateway.

    thanks

    Hello @awr10e

We are aware of this ongoing issue, as is WooCommerce, and both teams are actively working to mitigate it. WooCommerce has provided some potential resolutions, including implementing rate limiting, which you can find detailed here:
Card Testing Attacks and the Store API.

In addition to this, some users have shared a code snippet that helps prevent the use of automated APIs to create orders, and it seems to work for some.

You can check out the snippet here: Blocking Card Testing Attacks in WooCommerce. We have tested it, and it doesn’t seem to directly impact PayPal Payments, but it may temporarily help prevent the issue.

We recommend reviewing these options and implementing any solutions that best suit your store’s setup to protect against this issue. Should you require further assistance or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,

    Krystian
