• When I first started using WordPress (several months ago) RSS subscriptions via email worked. I was using the iDream theme, and it put the link in during install. I did not configure anything, it just worked. I still get feed updates as I requested back then.

A few weeks ago the owner of the site asked me to change themes and picked one from a Russian WordPress theme site (it is a Russian blog). It is called natural-health (the theme) and it too put in its own feed link in the header. I noticed at the time it did not work, so I rem’d it out since there were bigger things to fix and this function was not one the owner had requested.

Now she wants RSS subscriptions to work… and I am stumped. I have studied all of the files from both themes… and can’t seem to find the cause. When I attempt to sign-up using my email address I get a pop-up message saying “The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled” in a Feedburner pop-up window. After several nights of fighting this I finally decided to break my own rule and ask for help. Normally I prefer to figure things out for myself. 😉

So if anyone has any ideas, please pass them along. I thought of contacting the theme designer, but I do not speak or read Russian which has already made this process much more difficult than it had to be. But the owner of the site is my fiance… so I do what I am told.

    🙂

Thanks for any advice you can give.

    John
