    Hello,

    I’m testing different security plugins.

    Bulletproof Security (BPS)
    WP-Firewall (WPF)
    WP-Sentinel (WPS)

When you have BPS installed it will block some alerts from WPF and WPS. Because it creates some lines in the .htaccess file. And I guess .htaccess file is read first then plugins etc. But is this a good thing?

Also, BPS has other types of defence lines then WPF and WPS. So maybe should be a good thing to let them all work next to eachother. You don’t get some alerts from WPF and WPS then doh, because the .htaccess file is blocking it out already.

What are your thoughts on this?

    Cheers,

    Jaap

  • Hi,
Yep I have not forgotten about this issue. I’m on the final push of testing BPS .45.7 before releasing it. As soon as BPS .45.7 is officially released then I will update the BPS guide and next on the list is testing these 2 plugins for conflicts and issues. Thanks.

Both of these plugins have been tested and BPS will override both WP Firewall and WP Sentinel for website security. BPS is a server root method of website protection using .htaccess website security. Both of these plugins are using function coding within the plugin files themselves so BPS will automatically override them. There are some features in each of these plugins that will still perform normally, but website security is being controlled entirely by BPS.
