Popup menu problem

Sorry to keep asking noobie questions, but here it goes:

I’ve enable my popup comments on WP 1.5 over at my blog (http://blog.marmot.cc), for which I just designed a new template last night. The problem, however, is that when you click to post the comment, it doesn’t go through. It disappears. Comments made at the bottom of each post, however, go through. Haven’t been able to find a previous thread on the matter, unfortunately.

Also, just a slight issue I’ll probably correct on my own, but the footer appears screwed up in IE.
