I wanted to follow up on this thread as I have encountered another alignment-related issue, this time across all devices.
I had not logged onto WP in a little while, but upon doing so today I noticed all posts that had previously been published now had alignment issues (they were all left-aligned, but inconsistently [some lines were getting cut off sooner than others despite them all starting left-aligned]).
I use Elementor as the page building plugin and I did not see anything immediately obvious there (also I have not consciously changed anything myself either since I started my WP site back in August).
I am unsure if there was an update of some kind and that has caused some compatibility issues, or if it is something else. Unfortunately I am unable to attach a screenshot as this portal/ticket keeps coming up with an error message, but if you check out a few articles in the ‘Features’ tab of my website, you will see what I mean: Is Test cricket dying, or is there more than meets the eye? (Part 2) – Living Room Cricket
The above issue was resolved. Thank you. I did have another query on something.
I noticed on 5 Feb 2025 there was an update to the theme. It looks like beneath the header/menu banner (where the brown hamburger portion used to be which displayed the page/post titles) there is now a translucent stock image of a cricket stadium which looks great.
Question 1: Is there anyway for that image of the cricket stadium to be manually changed to a different image? And if so, how?
Question 2: On the home page, it just says ‘Blog Post’ as the title which looks like the stock wording. Is there a way this can be changed to ‘Home’?
Unfortunately this ticket is not letting me upload screenshots, but hopefully what has been described above is clear. If you go onto the ‘Home’ page you should see what I mean.
Thank you for your message. I’m glad the previous issue was resolved. Regarding your new queries:
1. Changing the Header Image: Yes, you can manually change the header image. Here’s how: – Go to your WordPress Dashboard. – Navigate to Appearance > Customizer > Header Image. – Here, you can upload and set a new image to replace the current one.
2. Changing the Title on the Blog Posts Page: Currently, changing the title of the Blog Posts page from ‘Blog Post’ to ‘Home’ is not available in the current version. However, we’re working on this feature, and it will be included in the next update.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.
Upon going on my website (the same as the one mentioned in the thread above), I noticed formatting across all articles and pages are massively out of whack. I myself have not made any changes to the website in months, so I am unsure how this has happened and how it is so bad.
Please could you let me know how to resolve it efficiently?
Thank you for reaching out. Could you please clarify what specific formatting changes you are seeing? For example, is the text alignment, spacing, headings, or images appearing differently than before?
If possible, please share a screenshot or the link to one or two pages where the issue is visible. This will help us identify the cause more quickly. If the support system does not allow image uploads, you can share a link to the screenshot via Imgur or Google Drive.
Once we can review the exact changes, we’ll guide you with the most efficient steps to restore the correct formatting.
Thanks. So basically everything has just shifted (images which were centred are now on the left, text has lost set font colours, icons are way oversized on the ‘About Me’ page etc etc).
I noticed that it says Elementor plugin was ‘deactivated due to an error’. And it has just gone from my list of plugins totally. I used that to build the website.
This ticket is just not letting me attach images, but if you navigate to the ‘About Me’ page, for example, you will see how awful the formatting has become. Similarly, if you go to any of the main posts, you will see the issues I described above.
