My host provider migrated my website from one server to another but along the way lost all the hyperlinks. They suspect that WP Data Access is still set to read the previous database instead of the new one (the names are slightly different).

How do we direct WP Data Access to use the new database instead of the old one but retain the hyperlinks and other previous settings?

    Hi @sp4448,

When WP Data Access tables are copied from one site to another with an external tool, schema names are not updated.

Please go to WP Data Access > App Builder > Rename Database and update your database name from there.

    See here: https://share.zight.com/6quAmX7w

Let us know how it goes. 😊

Thank you. I followed your instructions and it was successful however it did not restore the hyperlinks. How do I get those back?

    Hi @sp4448,

Are these hyperlinks in the new App Builder or the legacy data table?

Do you have a link for us to check this table?

You can also send us a ticket via Contact | WP Data Access if you want to send more information privately.

We’ll wait for your email! 🙏
