• Hello,

I am trying to resolve this issue where the homepage appears to display broken elements as shown in the picture below.

A small temporary fix to this display being broken, is to hard refresh by ctrl + shift + r. But it will go back to the broken display after quick refresh. However, after I login into wordpress admin to visit the website, it will fixed itself by visiting the site, then quick refresh once and it will stay fixed until I log out and close the browser only for it to be broken again. Is this related to WordPress’s caching, any wordpress settings, or one of the plugins causing this? I have updated all my plugins and wordpress to the latest version as of today’s date and it never seems to resolve itself.

This is how it is suppose to look like from this picture below,

    Browser: Firefox

Current Operating System use for browsing: Linux

    Hosting: Hostgator

    Theme: Foodify

There are 9 Active Plugins: As shown in the picture below

    Hi bongerboogey,

It sounds like you’re dealing with a caching issue that’s affecting how your homepage displays elements. When elements load correctly after a hard refresh or while logged in to the WordPress admin, it usually points to caching. Here are a few steps that might help:

    1. Clear Any Caches: If you have a caching plugin enabled, clear the cache from the plugin settings. Additionally, try clearing your browser’s cache and the server cache (if Hostgator has one).
    2. Check Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, plugins can conflict with each other or the theme. Try temporarily deactivating your plugins one by one to see if a particular plugin is causing the display issue.
    3. Review Browser Caching Settings: Since you’re on Firefox, ensure that caching is not set to overly aggressive settings, as this could affect display on reload.
    4. Theme Compatibility: Given that you’re using the Foodify theme, it may also help to check for any theme updates or consult the theme’s support documentation in case there are known issues.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to Hostgator for server-side caching checks or consult with the Foodify theme’s support to see if they have any specific recommendations for this behavior.

    Hope this helps.
