    Dear Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with TranslatePress (Version 2.8.7) on my website, where all the translated pages in English are returning 404 errors. My site’s default language is Spanish, and everything works fine in that language. However, whenever I attempt to access any English-translated page (for example: https://www.bodegasgongora.com/en/producto/mardeluces-2/), it leads to a 404 page not found error.

Here are the steps I’ve already taken to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. I have re-saved the permalinks several times.
    2. I have cleared the site cache and even disabled LiteSpeed Cache entirely.
    3. I have checked the .htaccess file and reset it to default settings.
    4. I verified that “Force language in custom links” is enabled in the TranslatePress settings.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists. It seems to specifically affect the English translations, as the original Spanish pages work without any issues.

I would appreciate your guidance on resolving this matter. Could this be a known issue with the current version of TranslatePress (Version 2.8.7), or is there another configuration I should check?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,

I have resolved the issue by downgrading from version 2.8.7 to 2.8.4. I would like to highlight that I haven’t received any response from the plugin’s support team, which I find unacceptable 😕

    Hi @solidoes and @lila22,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for the delay in our response. We’re currently investigating this situation and will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

In the meantime, you can downgrade to the previous version of the plugin.

Or you can fix the URL directly in the database by following these steps:

Step1: Install this plugin on your site: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-data-access/

Step 2: Go to WP DATA Access > Data Explored > Search for trp databases > navigate to the last page, we will work with _trp_slug_originals and _trp_slug_translations tables.

Step 3: In the _trp_slug_originals tab > search for “mardeluces” > and delete it and the results with a suffix.

Step 4: In the _trp_slug_translations tab > search for “mardeluces” > and delete it and the results with a suffix.

You can download older versions of the TranslatePress plugin from the official WordPress repository by following these steps:

    1. Go to the plugin page in the WordPress repository: TranslatePress – Multilingual.
    2. At the bottom of the page, click on “Advanced View.”
    3. Scrolling down, you’ll find a section called “Previous Versions.”
    4. From there, you can select the version you need and download it in .zip format.

Make sure to backup your site before installing older versions, as these may have security vulnerabilities or compatibility issues with other current plugins or themes.
