are you logged in as an admin or editor? I’ve made the mistake at times of being logged in as a subscriber (for testing) and then when I go to the backend I can’t edit or see the posts/pages. Then I realize that I wasn’t logged in.
I would recommend logging out and logging back in, just to see if that was the problem.
no i’m logged in as admin.
to give some background, i’ve designed a site that was outsourced for programming. we were given the files and installed the new themes/widgets/plug-ins onto the client’s server. the site was working fine, except that we can’t see/edit any of the pages in the back-end.
the programmer took a look, couldn’t fix it and has suggested that the installation of wp may have been corrupt. it’s now reinstalled, but we’re still facing the same issue and they’re still saying that it might be a wp installation problem.
i don’t think re-installation is the answer.
any thoughts?
This is the same issue that I’m having.
who is your host?
we’ve just realized that it might be a hosting issue. we transferred the files onto another server and the problem is gone.
This is hosted on Media Temple.
I’m having the same problem, also on Media Temple. Any hints as to what might verify if something about MT’s setup would contribute to this issue?
@ellamino: were you using MT? Whether you were or not, can you shed any light on what might be different?
No issues when I upgraded to 3.02.
Reverted to default theme, undid all the plug-ins … nothing fixed this.
Blog works fine otherwise.
