WordPress Import XML troubles

Hello,

I made an XML export file of our quite complex WP site, had somebody translate the text into another language and then attempted to import it back into a brand new WP installation.

This operation is quite simple and it should work but unfortunately I ended up with the 2nd site all broken. Category hierarchy was messed up and couldn’t do anything out of it.

I checked the translated XML import file and everything seems good, translators didn’t messed it up or anything.

Do you have any advice for this situation? I have other 5 languages to translate in and I would really love this to work as it’ll be better and easier to move it around for everybody, translators and me.
