wp_nav_menu custom modification

    Hi I have a strange setup to try and fix.

    WordPress is installed and all working correctly.

    I have interspire shopping cart that uses wp_nav_menu to display the title menu so it matches the rest of the site.

    In the menu set up in wordpress I have a link pointing to http://www.com/shop/

    When i click the menu item and the shop loads the menu item has the current-menu-item class assigned to it.
    If I visit any other page than the shops home page then this class is not used and the current page css isnt being applied to the menu.

    Where / how do I make changes so that all sub directories and sub pages of /shop/ will show a change to the class for the menus li and I can keep the highlight on the menu?
