I linked the pixel I use on a site made with Shopify to a new site made with WordPress and Woocommerce. I used PixelyourSite and Facebook for Woocommerce, but it does not test events. I have used the PixelHelper extension and on the page of my site it detects 1 pixel, but writes the following message.

    WARNINGS

Pixel Helper found your Meta Pixel, but the pixel has not been activated for this event and no information has been sent to Meta. This may be due to an error in the code or if the pixel fires on a dynamic event, such as a button click. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Try sending the desired event using thetest events tool.
    2. If the test events tool does not detect the event, there may be an issue with the Pixel Helper implementation. Please review Meta Pixel implementation with your developer

    I don’t know what to do, I am desperate….

  • Hey there, @aivlisaivlis! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Were you able to test it as explained here? If so, can you share how it went?

Can you please try to reconnect your account by following the steps in this guide?

Please let us know how it goes.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hello, thanks for replying. No events are displayed, only those on the Shopify site.
I tried reconnecting my account following the guide you sent me, but the problem persists. If I go to the page on my WordPress site and use the PixelHelper I get the same message as I wrote earlier, with a yellow triangle before the Page View.
If I go to the page on my Shopify site, the pixel is detected and the green tick appears before the words Page View.
    I just don’t know what to do…

    Hello aivlisaivlis,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand you have tried the troubleshooting steps but are still facing the same issue.

To better understand the situation, could answer the following questions:
1- Facebook for WooCommerce and PixelYourSite offer similar services. Could you tell me why are you using both at the same time?
2- Are you using the same pixel code for the WooCommerce site and the Shopify site? Could you share the URLs of both sites?

Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to help you. 🙂

    Best regards.

Hi, thank you for replying. I initially used Facebook for woocommerce but I noticed that the events were not being tracked , so I tried PixelYourSite and, initially, the pixel was correctly detected by Pixel Helper. After a couple of days instead I started experiencing the problems I described.

Yes, I connected the same pixel that I use with Shopify, because it was my intention to close that site to keep only the site with WordPress.
Here are the URLs of the sites :

    https://jolyjewels.com/ (WordPress site)

    https://jolyy.shop (shopify site)

    Thanks again for the help!

    Hello aivlisaivlis,

    Thank you for the clarification.

I recommend using only Facebook for WooCommerce, this way we do not have any overlapping features.
After that, check again if that fixes the problem.

If that does not resolve the problem, try creating a new Meta Pixel for https://jolyjewels.com (WP site).
Then check if that fixes the problem.

My understanding is that either the issue is happening due to a conflict between two plugins offering the same features or it is happening due to the reuse of the Meta Pixel on two different domains.

I am here to help you resolve this issue.
Let me know about the results. 🙂

    Best regards.

Hello! The strangest thing happened…. I just checked jolyjewels.com and the pixel is correctly detected and the events are tested! I haven’t touched anything, I still have the two plugins active and I still have the same pixel shared by the two sites… as long as it’s working, I’d say I’d better not touch anything, if it stops working then I’ll try connecting a new pixel. I’ll let you know if there are any further developments.
    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi @aivlisaivlis

I’m glad to hear that the pixel is now being detected correctly and the events are being tested on your WordPress site.

While it’s working now, I would still suggest you to monitor the situation closely. If the issue reoccurs, you can try the steps we previously mentioned: disabling the PixelYourSite plugin and using only Facebook for WooCommerce, or creating a new Meta Pixel for your WordPress site.

Meanwhile, I will mark this thread as resolved. Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
