Works so far, but custom styling is a nightmare

    I don’t expect much from a contact form except that it works. This plugin does that. But the custom styling is an absolute nightmare. In my opinion, far too much markup is written directly by the plugin. There are an insane number of classes assigned and – even worse – styles are passed directly to HTML. And because much of it is defined with !important, individual styling becomes a mammoth task. Less would have been more here.

    We understand your concerns regarding the custom styling. Our development team intentionally configured the CSS this way to proactively avoid conflicts with other plugins and themes. This approach helps ensure that your forms function smoothly across a wide range of environments, but we acknowledge that it can create challenges for those who wish to apply custom styling.

    To address this, we offer a “Base styling” option that includes the base styles for WPForms and allows your theme to override the styles. You can access this option by going to WPForms » Settings in your WordPress admin menu. This feature is designed specifically for developers like you, giving you the flexibility to style your forms independently without dealing with the pre-configured classes. This should make the customization process much easier and allow you to achieve the exact look and feel you’re aiming for.
