I am looking to sell my own keys (not auto generated) so I though this plugin would be the best option however I am a little confused. What I am looking for is to sell 1 virtual product, however each customer who purchases recieves their own unique licence key. There is an option to import my own csv file, but the template shows rows for email address, order ID etc which is a bit confusing. I’m looking for it to automatically dispatch a key from my imported file to an order once it has been placed by a customer.

Anyone with knowledge on this could assist

    Many thanks

Hello @fytbak WooCommerce is a cart that can do lots of things. You can indeed add virtual products in the backend of the product editor when creating them. As for creating unique key IDs or something that you would need another 3rd party app for.

With regards to you importing a sheet there is no need for emails when importing products, that would only be pertinent if you are importing customers from somewhere else.

For one product there’s no need to import a CSV file.

    Hi there @fytbak,

    Thanks for reaching out.

In order to sell unique license keys, you can indeed use the CSV import feature. However, the template includes fields for email address, order ID etc., but these are not mandatory. These fields are used if you want to assign specific keys to specific orders or customers. If you just want to sell unique keys, you can ignore these fields.

You just need to fill in the ‘License Key’ column with your own keys. Once you’ve imported the CSV, the system will automatically assign a unique key from your list to each new order for the virtual product.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions.
