Single Post Template Not in DropDown

    Recently all my blog posts are no longer using the special Single Page Template for blog posts, with a specific format created 3 year ago. It used to be the default for all posts. At some point the default for posts got changed to “default” and now when I go to a post and click the templates drop down box, there is no choice for the “Single Blog Post” (Single Page Template). The template does exist in the Templates section, I just can’t select it inside an existing post. This is a problem because 3 years of posts no longer have dates or headers or footers. You can see an example above. The only choices are:

    Default
    Elementor Canvas
    Elementor Full Width
    Theme

    How can I get the Single Page Template to appear in the Templates drop down for posts? Or better yet, set the default template for posts to be the Single Page Template created for posts which I call “Single Blog Post”
