Login simultaneously to multiple blogs

    So I’m thinking about using Buddypress and spreading my main site along multiple blogs.

    Is it possible for users to log in once and as a result be logged in to all multisite blogs?

    That’s pretty much how it works out of the box.

    So hypothetically I can create a separate blog for each section of my website, and if my website’s visitors log in to one blog, then that means that, at the same time, they log in to the main blog and buddypress.

    Is that how it works?

    Sorry if this is an overly basic question but from reading documentation here it’s not immediately obvious to me whether that’s the case.

    Yes.

    It’s perfectly clear when you log in to place like wordpress.com (uses multisite) and buddypress.org (uses out of the box wordpress & buddypress)

    It’s one install with ONE user table.
