Backup db but empty files

    Hi all,
    I have just uploaded and activated backup db plugin a week ago. I had opted email option. Now I am receiving emails about my database regularly but the files are of 0 bytes and when i open it, it is empty. why is it? Where are my backup files and what is the solution?
    plz help me out since I am worried about my backup files.
