Confused newbie

Hi everybody,

I am a total newbie so now I am totally confused about a few things:

1)when I make new pages I get format http://www.xxx.com/?page_id=25 and I want just the basic http://www.xxx.com – a one page website. How do I fix this?
2)where do I edit the title letters size since it overlaps the edges

I have a lot of questions, but perhaps the best I can do is say that I need a static 1 page website without comments or anything like that. I basically need something like this http://poor-credit-rating.com/.

I need someone to point me the the right tutorials and stuff.
