Plugin Design Help PLEASE!

    I want to create a plugin to add a new button option on the WordPress menu section. I want it to give me the ability to upload files to it but only PDF’s. I want it to be similar to the Media one but just for PDF’s. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this?
